Overview
East Boulder Trail is a wide, flat, and open trail that runs through the agricultural landscape of Teller Farm in Boulder, Colorado.
Starting from the Teller Farm South Trailhead, this out-and-back walk offers expansive views, irrigation canals, wetlands, and seasonal wildlife sightings. The trail is well maintained and suitable for casual walks, photography, and family outings.

Parking
The parking area at Teller Farm South Trailhead is relatively large for this area.
Because the surrounding roads pass through open farmland, roadside parking may also be possible depending on conditions.
Trailhead and Route
This is primarily an out-and-back trail, with a small loop section along the way.
Several ponds and irrigation features appear near the trail, adding variety to the scenery.

Northern End: Teller Farm North Trailhead
The northern end of the route reaches Teller Farm North Trailhead.
From here, hikers can choose several options:
- Return the same way
- Continue north toward wetlands and Boulder Creek
- Explore the area around Teller Lake Number 5 to the east before returning

Trail Conditions and Scenery
The trail is open and offers long sightlines across the surrounding farmland.

There is very little shade, so walking during hot, sunny hours can feel challenging, especially in summer.
The surface is well maintained, making the trail easy and comfortable to walk.

Between long straight sections of trail, an irrigation canal runs alongside mature cottonwood trees, providing occasional visual contrast and habitat for birds.

Teller Lake
Teller Lake lies just off the trail and adds a wetland environment to the walk.

Waterfowl and other birds can sometimes be seen near the lake.

Farmland Landscape
Wide pastureland and agricultural fields define the character of Teller Farm.

It is also common to see people horseback riding in this area.

Extraction Oil & Gas Site
An Extraction Oil & Gas facility is located near the Teller Farm North Trailhead.

Milkweed
Milkweed plants grow abundantly along this trail.
